MASTERS O35/O40
CRITERIA FOR INTERNATIONAL SELECTION 2011/2012
To play on the Irish O35/O40 you must play TWO of the THREE tournaments in the season which are Ulster Open, Nationals and the Irish Open.
Selection will be based on the points scored from a players best 2 events to determine the panel from which the selectors will pick the teams.
The top five point scorers will automatically be selected for each team. The selectors may consider a wild card selection to fill the sixth position on a team, such a player will be of a standard to play at either number 1 or 2 on that team.
DRAW SIZE
Ulster Open & Irish Open will be 8 draw
Nationals will be a 16 draw
SCORING
Traditional scoring will be used in all tournaments
RANKING FOR THE TOURNAMENTS
This will be done on a rolling year with only the players best two events points will be used
If a player is moving up an age group they keep the points from the following age group.
Players entering a tournament with no points or less than two tournaments played can be ranked by the selectors in a position they think is of merit.
