The Ireland men’s team won a bronze medal in Division 2 at these European Championships held in Eindhoven in The Netherlands. In the 3rd/4th place play off they beat Belgium 3-0 to claim the medal. In the semi-final they lost to Switzerland.
They had earlier beaten Poland 3-1 and in the pool matches they beat Denmark and Austria 4-0. A really successful week for this very young team with a great future in store for them in other championships.
