Conor Moran won the Under 15’s beating Malaysia No. 2 Muhammad Hafiz Zhafri 3-1. A super win over the runner up in the Asian Championship. Sam Buckley came 5th, Gavin L’Estrange 6th and Michael Creaven 9th. So 4 boys in the top 10, Well Done.
In the other 2 finals involving Denis Gilevskiy (U13) & Scott Gillanders (U17), unfortunately they both lost. In the U13’s, Alex Smith finished 5th & Dylan Moran, Conor’s 11yr old brother came 6th. In the U17’s Luke Logan came 6th & Sean Dineen came 12th with Brian Collins, David Ryan & Ryan Kelly in the top 20. In the U19’s Oisin Dunne finished 5th.
In the girls events, – U13’s Ali Carton & Sarah Jane Smith came 3rd & 4th respectively and Emma Dineen finished 8th. In the U15’s Grace Lavin came 9th & Caitlin McConnon /14th, Sasha Zheleznyak 17th. In the U17’s Ellie McVeigh finished 9th and in the U19’s Stephanie Ryan finished 3rd. Well done to all our players.
So 5 podium finishes and 16 top 10 results – SUPER STUFF.
