This is a mixed open which means that players will be grouped based on ability NOT age or gender. It has proved to be a great success. Here is the comment of one parent

‘My son had four excellent games in which he won two and lost two. He was never trashed nor did he trash anyone. In fact throughout the tournament and over the full weekend most games I saw were competitive.  Indeed I was sorry I did not bring my 9 year old daughter because I feel she would have been well able for the D section which was played among boys and girls of a young age and starting off in squash. As a parent I would like to convey how supportive I am of this type of tournament. ‘

So a great weekend of competitive but enjoyable sport. FUN is what it should be about for children (as well as the adults)

Scott Gillanders won the A section beating Conor Moran in a very close match. See him pictured receiving his trophy.
