Irish #1 into Irish Squash Open Quarter-Final

Irish #1 and reigning senior national champion Hannah Craig knocks out 7th seed Yasshmita Jadish Kumar in straight games to reach the quarter-final of the Cannon Kirk GillenMarkets Irish Squash Open 2024.

Hannah ranked #89 in the world dumped out her world #72 opponent with ease.

The Ulster native took a thrilling opening game 15-13 before doubling her lead with a quickfire 11-6 second game. She then closed out the match in style in the final game.

Hannah reaches uncharted territory in the quarter finals where she’ll face Egyptian no.1 seed and World #18 Nada Abbas at 2pm tomorrow (Apr 25th)

Hannah emphasised how excited she is to play the world #18, her highest ranked opponent ever and is relishing the opportunity.
